Club Trial at Cudham - 4th March
Written by Double Five
Monday, 26 February 2007

Please click here to open an entry form for the Cudham Trial (on the 4th of March) which you complete whilst on your screen, print it off, sign it and bring it with you with the fee.

This venue is tight for parking, so I need you to email me with your name if you are coming so I have a rough idea of the numbers to expect.

The start time will be 10.00 so begin arriving from about 9.30am and if you are not sure where to park do ask.

This event also has the luxury of a toilet in a shed although you will be sharing with a few spiders. Also there is a hose nearby for cleaning the bikes afterwards.

For directions to Cudham, please contact me.

Steve Westley.

News - This and That...
Written by Double Five
Thursday, 14 December 2006

www.doublefive.co.ukHi all.

A quick roundup of news snippets before Christmas if I may.

Quite a few bits and pieces came out of the club's AGM this year. Some changes to the committee, and some changes to the structure of the club. The minutes of the AGM won't be written up until mid-January and so cannot be posted here just yet.

Rest assured that as soon as they are ready, they'll be uploaded here in some form or other.

The club has also formerly 'moved out' of the clubhouse at Gates Green Road for the more hospitable surroundings of the Pied Bull Public House in Farningham Village near Swanley - a move that should see attendances at club nights rocket! Another tradition of the club slips into the history books, but some good memories of the village hall remain. Memories of future meetings may be a little harder to recall methinks!

As most of you know by now, Peter Logan steps down as Secretary of the club this year, and I would like to add my thanks to him for all the support he has given to the club over the many years I have known him. He has been a good friend to me, as he was to my father, and the club owes him a great deal. Thanks Peter. Enjoy your semi-retirement!

More news will soon be forthcoming on event dates for 2007. There have been a few hold-ups in finalising the schedules for next year (outside of our control) but as soon as we have more details, they will be posted.

In the mean time, dates for January have been published in the December Newsletter. Members should have already received this by email, and it is also available on the website here in the Newsletters section.

Well, that's about it for now. Please bear with us as we update the sections of the site that require tweaking after the various changes the club is undergoing. We'll get it all straightened out, but not before I've had a few beers over Christmas.

Hope you all have a good time off work, with your families or whatever.

Happy Christmas! www.doublefive.co.uk

Berni George,

Webmaster
