This weekend on the 24th September we have got our second beginner & wobbler trial at Chads Farm which I and my ever helpful band of club members will be setting up on the Saturday. There will be the basic yellow route for those new to trials and the slightly harder red route allowing you to improve without worrying about being marked, we are also laying out roughly our Novice combine route with blue cards for those who would like to try a combine route again without worrying about observers, to enable any of you to practice all or parts of it to assist you in the move to combine trials. In the combine trials you generally do 3 or 4 laps of 13 or 10 sections but you cannot do any practising only look on at how others tackle the sections and try and remember for next time. There will be riders around on Sunday to give you any help and advice so do not be worried about asking as we have all been at the bottom of the table at some time. The important thing is to have some fun whilst you play and I’ll email entry forms later on as usual so you do not need to queue at the signing on table. For directions, please contact me. You should aim to arrive there from about 9.45. The following Sunday the Erith club are putting on the Ridgeway Cup at Horsmonden for Pre67 bikes Page 21 of the Sept TSM which also includes classes for modern bikes in the Novice and Sportsman class. I have sent off my entry for the Novice class and as it will be on the same route as these old machines I hope they do not embarrass me too much. The sportsman class is on a similar route but with the tougher bits smoothed out, so again if you want to try a combine level class this might be one to try for. Entries close 23rd September so act now. Hope to see you all Sunday, Steve
